“民族”本身就蕴含着丰富的文化现象，蕴含着深刻的文化意义。民族文化是各民族对自身处境的思考与向往，是各民族对生命的体验与升华。民族的服饰、建筑、工艺、生活方式无一不体现出自身独特的文化内涵。每一个民族的文化都是对全人类文化的丰富与贡献。 "Nation"itself is full of cultural phenomena with profound meanings.A national culture is a reflection of and a yearn for the nations conditions as well as an experience and sublimation oflife for each nation.With no exception,a nation will idsplay its unique cultural connotation by means of national costumes,architecture,craftsmanship and lifestyle. Individual cultures will enrich and make their contributions to the culture of the mankind as a whole.

从东到西，自南到北，无论是峻岭深谷，还是大山激流，在这块土地上，你入乡进寨，总能遇到五光十色的服饰，旋律独特的歌曲，繁复多端的婚丧礼仪，沸腾盛大的节日庆典……它们千差万别，使你眼花缭乱；如果一一溯本清源，寻根问底，又无不各有奇妙的传说故事，能叫你心醉神迷。 Everywhere in the north,south,west and east,from tall ridge to deep valley and dorm high mountains to torrent rivers,your eyes will meet bright clothes,special tuned songs,complicated wedding or funeral ceremony,grand celebration and high festival. These customs vary from one to another and they may puzzle you. If you will be enchanted with many wonderful legends and stories.

古人常用一个字来概括某处风景名胜的特点，便如峨眉之“秀”，青城之“幽”等等。这种“一字评”想用于贵州便很难，比如舞阳河，蜿蜒30公里的流水，就象是一部荟萃诸家的《唐诗三百首》，有豪放的李白、沉郁的杜甫、淡雅的王维、悲壮的高适、清丽的李商隐，奇崛的李贺……你能用一个字把它概括得准确么？“此处江山如画，欲描诗画两难。但愿八方骚客，前来画此江山。” Ancient people often used one word to summarize the features of some scenic spot. For example, they described Mt.Emei to be"elegant",Mt.Qingcheng to be "tranquil",etc. This kind of comment by one word is difficult when it is applied to Guizhou. Take the Wuyang River For an instance. The river flows in a distance of 30 km. Its water is something appearing in the book of 300 Poems in the Tang Dynasty. Traces of Li Bai,Du Fu,Wang Wei,Gao Shi,Li Shangyin,Li He,etc.can be detected from th rive.How can anybody use one word for an accurate generalization? "Rivers and mountains here look picturesque,Poem-composing and picture-painting is problematic,It is hoped that artist form all directions Come here to portray the rivers and mountains."
